The object of this game is given a bracket
of 64 teams (we are not counting the play in game) predict the winner of each game through the National Championship, the
one who scores the highest number of points wins
1)All brackets and money are to be received by Phil, Sean, or Eric by Thursday March 17th,
there are no exceptions
2)Anyone that is caught trying to cheat (IE trying to change their picks during the tournament) will
be disqualified and the entry fee for each entry will be forfeited
3)Your picks and other information on your bracket must be legible, if not the pick or information
is automatically wrong or discounted.
4)Any bracket is acceptable but CBS Sportsline brackets are preferred
Scoring and Prizes
Our Philosophy is the person that wins
the bracket pool should have a strong overall bracket and not just one that has the final four and the national champion correct.
So this is a balanced scoring per round format
Round picks * 1 point/pick = 32 points
Round picks * 2 points/pick= 32 points
Round 3: 8 picks * 3 points/pick=24 points
Round 4: 4 picks * 5 points/pick=20 points
Round 5: 2 picks * 8 points/pick=16 points
Round 6: 1 pick * 12 points/pick= 12 points
Total 136 points
People that receive prizes will be
determined by who gets the highest scores, in the event of a tie breaker we will use the question that asks how many points
total will be scored in the national championship game, if that doesn’t break the tie the tying brackets will be compared
beginning with the championship game for correct number of picks/round.
The cost is $10 per entry, you are allowed as many entries as you wish. The prizes will somewhat depend
on how many entries there are
There will be three people running this
pool, Sean Drapeau, Eric Nelson, and Philip Parker. In compensation for time, effort, printing fees, etc. each person running
the pool will get one free entry which will be available to the pool entrants at any time to uphold the integrity of the game.
Each Bracket will be scored after
every round then double checked at the end of the tournament. Prizes should be awarded about a week after the championship
game It is your responsibility to claim your prize from either Phil, Eric or Sean
(see contact information at the end of this sheet
For many of you that were in last
years bracket pool some noticed and complained that they was no updating on the scores via email reports; last year we were
too busy but this year we have devised a way to do it through excel that will not take as much time, we will issue reports
after each weekend of the tournament (2nd round, elite 8, championship) the third email report that will be issued
April 5th will be official. To receive an email report we must receive
an email from you!!
